What is art assignment
The definition of art from the video “what is art?” I identify most with is “that every artist brush with his own soul” this quote was by Henry Ward Beecher and a quote I can relate with because this quote to me means that an artist creates what he sees in his mind, I draw what I picture in my mind. My artwork may not exactly be identical to what I envisioned, but its closely resembles to what I had planned for my artwork. I don’t exactly have an alternate definition for myself when it comes to art because art is something I can improve as I continue to practice it and eventually it will become perfect the way I see it. None of the definition of art in the video necessarily made me frustrated or angry, though one of the terms is something I disagree on which is Edvard munches quote “art grows out of grief and joy, but mainly grief”, to me this quote just doesn’t fit well with because it all depends on the mood of an artist to create art it doesn’t have to be the emotions of feeling joy, grief, or even depression any kind of emotion can be an inspiration to paint or draw anything that comes to mind.
